COQMAN is DJ/Producer, Visual Artist, Event Manager, Booker, and Label Owner of FLUCTUAT RECORDS.

 

He began his career in Medellín, Colombia. Soon after his first EP, he has decided to create his own record label called FLUCTUAT RECORDS, releasing Techno artists from South America & Europe. He recently signed his 1st vinyl release on the legendary UK Techno label STAY UP FOREVER (Chris Liberator).

 

For his productions he has received the support  of producers like :  D.CARBONE / DAVE THE DRUMMER / P. HECKMANN / L. AGNELLI / C. VARELA / MARK EG / STEPHANIE SYKES / DON WOEZIK / THE BRVTALIST among others.

 

He also collaborated with solid labels such as Blockchain Records, Elektrotribe Berlin, Concepto Hipnotico, Laburnum Records, Fabrik Music, Dynamics & Hexagone Underground.

 

These past 3 years he has been sharing booth with DJ's from the local and international scene like Jacidorex, Under Black Helmet, MOTH, Fabrizio Rat, Detroit Techno Militia, David Meiser, Luis Flores, Gotshell, N-Sound, among others.
 

In October 2019, he left Latin America for a Tour with his label in France. Playing in most of the big cities of the country, including Paris, with a special Label Night in the most emblematic parisian venue : REX CLUB (alongside MOTH, Euyinn, H.Mess, Pennkal & Synestesic VJ).

Before in 2019 he was invited to be part of

the 1st  Medellin Music Week (conventions, showcases, conferences, performances, workshops..) with other international artists like Joseph Capriati, Bas Mooy, Carl Craig, Zadig, Oxia...

For that special occasion he organized a showcase in MUTE Medellin (one of the best club in the country). Also he released a special ''Various Artists''  with Fluctuat Records including a track from himself called “Anger”. It was supported by big names such as: DAX J, REBEKAH, RICHIE HAWTIN, THOMAS P. HECKMANN & LUCA AGNELLI.

He also had a radio show on ElectroEmite.fm in Medellin called Fluctuat Sessions  where he invited Techno producers for an interview about their career and to show their skills during a LiveStream session.

The first half of 2019, he organized a tour in Mexico (more than 10 gigs in the country).

In 2020, CoqMan focused in new projects like LUMINØIZE  (AudioReactive Visual Show with VJ Synestesic), colabs like 3X1000  with Euyinn & Resilience28 with Konjunction,

 

He has organized the 2nd anniversary V.A. with over 40 artists of Fluctuat in march 2020. The conception of a PR agency alongside The Finest Techno and the creation of a new european agency, ITM booking.
 

Music lover since he's a kid, he finally decides to start producing music at the age of 20. After graduating in event management in Paris, he spent 4 years working in Paris, organizing festivals and parties, until he decides to start a trip to Latin America in search of new sounds and cultures. 

 

He has been in contact with electronic music very young and touched by it thanks to UK D&B and artists such as Roni Size and Dj Hype, Minimal with Nathan Fake or Extrawelt, or House with his brother who has provided him with the bases and solid influences like Laurent Garnier and
DJ Pierre to get to consolidate his own style.

It was in 2010 during a trip to Berlin that he fall in love with Techno. From this moment he has not stopped digging, investigating and experimenting to surprise in each set with
new sounds.

 

Now, he is known for his aggressive style. Acid & Industrial lover, he was inspired by Techno artists such as Alien Rain, Surgeon, Regal and Perc. He likes to mix influences but most of all, he is living every gig with the crowd, doing his best to generate a connection with the public !
