Distant

Matías Fernández aka "Distant" is an emerging Dj / Producer from Córdoba, Argentina. It develops with sounds especially of techno, but always experimenting among its different facets.

In his first contacts with music Matías Fernández aka Distant felt very attracted for hip-hop and dance culture, it not take long until he begins to interest in the rhythmic bases and structure not caring about the vocals of the music.
In 2009 the interest in electronic music was influenced by the aggression and sounds of “Gesaffelstein”. The UK duo “Slam” fully immerses Matias into pure techno, and artist like “Mathew Jonson” was influence of the deeper sounds of his productions, actually his mayor reference is “Recondite”. Distant moves in the perfect combination of techno: strong with deep feeling s. A loving aggression from you cannot escape, a beautiful way to see the music.
After getting more involved in the underground culture in 2015, Matias Starts dijing and making the first steps in production playing in the biggest club of the city. In 2017 becomes part of “Tentacles recordings” the only melodic techno label from Argentina, his first Ep “Distorted” create the opportunity to surround by respected producers of the genre.
At the same time soon new releases on “Us & Them” (Greece), “iLogic” and “WOOD” (Spain) will see the light this year.
